Seven on Seven

Last night, Delve got a sneak peak at the Park Hyatt’s newly revamped seventh floor. After undergoing a year-plus of renovations (since January last year to be exact), we were thinking the new digs better be good… and boy were they ever. The renovated space now boasts NoMI Kitchen (NoMI’s hipper, and slightly less pricey offshoot) a full-service spa (complete with indoor pool and private vanities in all treatment rooms) and rooftop garden. There is a lot to love about this new space situated above the Mag Mile, but for the sake of brevity, here are Delve’s 7 favorite things about the 7th floor. Some old, some new, some too good to be true.

  1. The Cellar – a library of high-end wines which will soon also be available as a private dining room – did we mention that for $50 they are also doing wine tastings?

  2. Interactive Kitchen – basically a fancy way of saying that you can see the chefs crafting their magic from the dining room. So Parisian. So chic.

  3. The View - the dining room boasts a fabulous view of the city, gazing out to the Mag Mile (and a perfect birds-eye view of Top Shop).

  4. The Food – from the super white tuna and oysters at the Raw Bar to the polenta that was so good it melted in our mouths, the food at NoMI was truly the star of the evening.

  5. Carita Products from the newly revamped spa – luxurious, natural and anti-aging, quite the triple threat. Oh, and the Park Hyatt is the only spot to find them in the Chicago.

  6. Roof Top Garden- no surprise here, the garden remains the most elegant place to catch a sunset in the city while enjoying their custom cocktails which leads us to...

  7. Custom Cocktails – Delve sampled a few of the libations boasting the freshest of ingredients including a whiskey and ginger (beer that is) with house-made raspberry syrup and fresh grapefruit and lime juice, as well as a Tito’s vodka served up with fresh raspberry and blackberry, sugar and lime.

Officially opening Friday, go check out the seventh floor and see what all the fuss is about!
