If asked to name your top 200 bars in the U.S., could you do it? We at Delve fancy to think that we could. In fact, we could probably muster up a list of our top 200 bars in Chicago alone. But let’s save a conversation about our cocktail’ing habits for another day. Esquire just released its list of the Top 200 bars in the U.S. and, not surprisingly, Chicago made quite the impression. Esquire spirits correspondent, David Wondrich, served up his top picks in the upfront of the article, including The Drawing Room which he describes as "unassuming, hardworking, and smart."

Obviously this list opens up the debate to what actually makes a good bar. The spirits selection? The friendly service? The atmosphere? The music options? The list is endless. But before you start going on and on about the best Chicago watering holes, do your friends a favor, grab some beer.
