One Tequila, Two Tequila...

Any holiday that involves tequila and guacamole is an automatic favorite in our book. Who needs Christmas when there’s an entire day dedicated to salting, sipping and lime’ing? Need some last minute ideas on where to head after work for endless imbibing with your favorite uncles: Julio, Pat(ron) and Jose? Look no further:

Salud Street Festival – Live music, dancing, mariachis and, most importantly, sangria. The 5th annual street fest (at Honore & Milwaukee) kicks off at 3 p.m. and costs a reasonable $5 entry fee benefiting Friends of Burr School.

Dos Diablos Street Concert – If you’re a sucker for a cover band like us, this is your jam. Pop/Rock cover bands 7th Heaven and Rock Candy will be hitting the stage outside of Dos Diablos (17 W Hubbard) tonight, starting at 6 p.m.

Trolley Crawl - $5 tequila shots and $3 Dos Equis on the FREE trolley crawl hitting Lottie’s Pub (starts here at 7 p.m. - 1925 W. Cortland), The Pony and Frontier (a new Delve fave).

Other noteworthy happenings:

  • Hub 51 - $6 Prickly Pear margs, $8 guac and $4 Coronas
  • Zocalo - $5 margs and a live mariachi band at 6 p.m.
  • Mercadito – $40 shareable Cinco de Mayo menu
