Get Your Dose

While we are big fans of weekends in general, we are even bigger fans of weekends with new and exciting activities. Sure, summer is filled with farmer’s markets, art fairs, street fairs (really any type of festival under the sun) but Chicago does not have a design market that rival those in NYC. Until now that is. Debuting this June, Dose Market, a year-round highly curated fashion and food market, will launch at Chicago’s River East Art Center.

Spearheaded by Editors from Tasting Table, Daily Candy, Haute Chicago and Time Out Chicago, Dose Market features food that ranges from artisanal breads, preserves and ice cream to bourbon-barrel-aged syrup and rare teas (all produced or sourced by local companies of course) and fashion/design ranging from new and vintage clothing, accessories and housewares to exclusive-to-the-market styles for both men and women. It’s basically as if all of your favorite food and shopping got together under one roof for your leisurely enjoyment.

While vendors will rotate on a monthly basis, the June market will feature Delve favorites such as Truffle Truffle, Crumb, Blis, Crop to Cup, Old Town Social charcuterie, Rare Tea Cellar, Luxury Garage Sale, Deliciously Vintage, Mineralogy and two dozen others. Sipping rare tea and eating truffles whilst shopping for vintage? There’s no better way to spend a Sunday.

When: Sunday, June 5, 2011, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.; one Sunday per month thereafter - Where: River East Art Center, 435 E. Illinois St -Price: $10 admission at the door or online at dosemarket.com/gettickets
