Over the Weekend: Logan Square Kitchen Pastry Market

There is nothing better than popping into your favorite bakery on a beautiful Saturday afternoon for a sweet treat. Or is there? This weekend, the team behind the chic event space Logan Square Kitchen held a pastry market featuring all things sweet from local coffee roasters, bakeries, confectioners and gelaterias. Admission, $1. Both cheap and delicious.

Delve highlights:
  • Goat Cheese Cashew Gelato from Black Dog Gelato. It was delicate, rich yet unique. Delve insider scoop: Owner of Black Dog Gelato and gelato queen Jessica Oloroso let us know that if you prefer a BDG flavor, give her a call and she’ll do her best to make your fav as the featured gelato of the day. Gelato, VIP style.

  • Coffee from Ipsento Coffee House. The owners, who happen to be brothers, really know Joe and travel to Panama and Honduras for the best beans. Love a local coffee haunt.

  • Salted Bourbon Caramels from Salted Caramel. Sweet meets savory meets delicious.

Logan Square Kitchen has some really cool events and is worth keeping an eye on. Past events include pop up restaurants from the culinary likes of Lula and Belly Shack, enough said.
